The MARC Malaysian Bond and Sukuk 2022 (MMBS 2022) virtual conference concluded yesterday with a panel discussion titled "Emerging Global Market Trends", focusing on the latest trends impacting business industries in Malaysia and around the world.
During the discourse, the topic of sustainability took centre stage as the panellists deliberated on the relevant opportunities and challenges that emerge, in line with the growing global consciousness around net zero emissions.
While technology plays an important role in clean energy transition, the speakers highlighted that governments and companies also need to consider the viability of every available technology option in order to effectively achieve their net zero targets.
