About the MARC Group of Companies
MARC was established in 1996 and has since expanded to include its subsidiaries, namely MARC Ratings Berhad, MARC Solutions Sdn Bhd, MARC Data Sdn Bhd and MARC Learning Sdn Bhd, each providing distinct product offerings. The logo’s evolution represents MARC’s journey towards becoming a progressive and vibrant credit rating agency by its three-pronged approach of embracing technology, remaining agile and adapting to the ever-changing business environment. This progression also allows MARC to create further value for all its stakeholder.

Design Philosophy
MARC’s logo since inception in 1996 until 2006 illustrates a stylised globe with lines spreading across its surface, reflecting the Company’s growth mission. The ‘M’ depicted in the logo reiterates its Malaysian identity.
The tagline “Making its Mark Locally and Globally” accompanied this logo and reflected MARC’s commitment to playing a meaningful role in the development of the capital market, by providing quality ratings and comprehensive research services that are highly regarded locally and globally.
1996 - 2007Design Philosophy
MARC’s logo used between 2007 and 2020 reaffirmed its existing initiatives and ambitions of to reinforce the integrity in ratings actions.
The company’s official colours were vibrant orange and maroon. The globe’s new colour better represents MARC’s dynamic and more contemporary brand profile. The single line below the logo emphasises the growth and strength of the company’s brand identity in the field of credit ratings.
2008 - 2020Design Philosophy
MARC’s new logo captures its aspirations as a contemporary and progressive credit rating agency.
The top blue line in the logo represents the company’s ambitions as it seeks to expand into new business segments. The bottom blue line symbolises MARC’s strong foundation formed over 25 years of operations as a credit rating institution. The red font colour embodies MARC’s enduring values of strength, trust and stability.
2021MARC’s New Vision Statement and Tagline
MARC’s new vision statement is to be a provider of solutions beyond risk. Aligned with this, our new tagline is Solutions Beyond Risk, which represents MARC’s commitment and focus to be a bespoke provider across its offerings, encompassing ratings, learning, solutions, data and analytics.
