MARC will be hosting the second instalment of the MARC360 conference series, MARC360: SUSTAINABLE INFRA 2021 VIRTUAL CONFERENCE over two half-days on November 25-26, 2021. For this iteration, the virtual conference will focus on sustainable infrastructure as well as the ongoing issues and trends in the sector.
The infrastructure sector plays a key role as a catalyst to sustainable economic recovery. In parallel, infrastructure planning is also of utmost importance to social and community-related outcomes, as well as the operational continuity of businesses, even more so in the current pandemic era. As per the recent tabling of Budget 2022, funds have been allocated to boost infrastructure development related to water, electricity, roads, education and health. As such, the MARC360: Sustainable Infra 2021 Virtual Conference will serve as a platform to discuss and deliberate on these issues.
Day One of the virtual conference will open with an overall look at the Malaysian economy as well as a brief take on the prospects for Malaysia's infrastructure. There will also be a panel discussion on the challenges in the Malaysian infrastructure sector post-COVID-19.
For Day Two, the conference will begin with a discourse on global and Malaysian infrastructure integration with environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices, placing a focus on the considerations and opportunities associated with renewable energy. The virtual conference will end with a panel discussion on the trends and prospects for Malaysian infrastructure in the coming year and beyond.
Esteemed credit rating agency Moody's continues to be our event partner for the MARC360 conference series. Sponsors for this event include Gamuda Berhad, CIMB Investment Bank Berhad, Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad, UEM Edgenta Berhad and Leader Energy Holding Sdn Bhd.
