The courts at BASE Pickle & Padel Club came alive last weekend when Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad (MARC) hosted MARC Recharge: Bond Beyond Business Pickleball Tournament 2025, a spirited event that saw bankers, investors and financial sector partners trading volleys, laughter and plenty of competitive fire.
Designed as an energising break from boardrooms and year-end deadlines, the tournament enabled participants to connect, unwind and strengthen professional relationships in a dynamic setting.
In his welcome remarks, MARC Group Chief Executive Officer Arshad Mohamed Ismail said, “After a year of business negotiations, collaborations and milestone achievements, this tournament presents a much-needed opportunity for our partners and colleagues to recharge.” He encouraged everyone to enjoy the game and genuinely “bond beyond business”. Arshad expressed his appreciation to Mypickleball Sdn Bhd for sponsoring the prizes and applauded the organising team for delivering a seamless, high-spirited event.
The tournament was divided into three categories — Mixed Doubles, Women’s Doubles and Men’s Doubles. Participants showcased their impressive skills and sportsmanship during the event.
