MARC Ratings has published its exposure draft on data center methodology for public consultation, the highlights of which are as follows:

• Guidance on the approach that will be taken in the rating of transactions involving data centers
• Key factors assessed by the rating agency for greenfield data centers
• Discussion on the transaction structures for operational data centers
• Risk profile of a trust structure for a pool of data centers

MARC Ratings welcomes feedback on the proposed methodology. Comments on the exposure draft should be emailed to ratingmethodology@marc.com.my by January 15, 2025. MARC Ratings will finalise the updated rating methodology following a review of comments received during the consultation period.
