Daniel oversees the overall operation and management of the Group IT department at MARC.
He began his career as a Software Engineer at Silverlake Symmetry & Technology Research, initially focusing on the core banking system in Jakarta and later working on a migration project between Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) in Brunei.
He then moved to Cagamas Berhad and was responsible for application support and the management of their business reporting system.
Daniel also served the Securities Commission (SC) as their manager of Architecture & Design where he led the MIS team to ensure the timely delivery of accurate reports to management, enabling the organisation to achieve its ISO27001 certification. Additionally, he played a crucial role in the migration of the Disaster Recovery (DR) infrastructure to a new location.
After SC, Daniel moved to Al Khair International Islamic Bank as their Head of IT. During his tenure, Daniel successfully established the Malaysian branch and implemented interconnecting infrastructure with the headquarters in Bahrain.
Daniel then helped set up the infrastructure of the entire Management Information System (MIS) at International Islamic Liquidity Management Corporation (IILM) before joining MARC in August 2021.
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computing, from the University of Wales College Newport (UWCN), United Kingdom.
