Azwa Md Sarif is MARC’s Head of Compliance, Governance, Legal & Risk Management. She has more than 20 years of experience in legal, compliance and capital markets in the financial industry.

After completing her pupillage with Messrs. Raja Daryl & Loh, she began her career at Amanah Short Deposit Berhad (currently known as MIDF Amanah Investment Bank Berhad, or MIDF Investment), where she served as a legal & compliance executive. She then transitioned to the capital markets portfolio at MIDF Investment and subsequently to Kuwait Finance House Berhad before moving to investment banking at Asian Finance Bank Berhad.

In July 2013, she rejoined MIDF Investment as a senior legal counsel, thereafter joining Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad and later, MBSB Bank Berhad.

Azwa holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from University of Malaya, and was previously a member of the Malaysian Bar.
