Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad (MARC) today announced the appointment of three new members to the Board of Directors of MARC Berhad, as well as two new members to the Board of Directors of MARC Ratings Berhad.
Dato’ Wan Mohd Fadzmi Che Wan Othman Fadzilah was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of MARC Berhad. Dato’ Wan Mohd Fadzmi has over 25 years of experience in domestic and international banking. He specialises in managing large-scale financial institutions, with a strong emphasis on global market revenue generation, asset and liability management, risk management and product strategy.
Mr Lim Hun Soon @ David Lim was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of MARC Berhad. David is a highly experienced chartered accountant and corporate governance expert with over three decades of leadership in financial auditing, ethics, and strategic advisory roles. He has deep expertise in auditing, compliance and board processes from his extensive career at KPMG.
Encik Mohammad Ridzuan Abdul Aziz was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of MARC Berhad. He has a diverse background in the financial services sector and fintech industry, including roles with market regulators such as the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange and Securities Commission Malaysia. His expertise encompasses regional financial regulatory requirements and compliance risk management, among others.
Dr Mohd Nordin Mohd Zain was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of MARC Ratings Berhad. Dr Mohd Nordin has over 35 years of experience in various capacities in corporate banking, education, regulatory and professional practice, particularly internal audit, financial reporting and risk management. He currently serves as an Investment Committee member of a subsidiary of AIA Berhad and was recently appointed as a member of the Finance and Investment Committee of Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (MAIWP).
Ms Amita Shyam Shrivastava was appointed as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of MARC Ratings Berhad. She has vast experience in credit rating, fixed income research, commercial banking and consumer finance. As Vice President of the Asia Pacific Regional Management team at Moody’s Investors Service (MIS), she develops and implements strategic initiatives for MIS businesses, with a focus on South and Southeast Asia.
