In two private events held earlier this month, MARC made donations to asnaf students from two higher learning institutions as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative for 2022. The donations, amounting to RM57,500, comprised zakat deductions from MARC staff which were obtained from Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (MAIWP).
MARC's central theme for its CSR initiative this year is education, with a focus on alleviating students' financial burden. 115 asnaf students from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and University of Malaya (UM) were the recipients of the donations, presented by MARC Group Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Jamaludin Nasir.
