Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad (MARC) is a Malaysian based credit rating institution. Commencing operations in 1996, our rating coverage extends to Financial Institutions and Insurance, Structured Finance, Public Finance, and Infrastructure and Project Finance.

Our analytical team provides public and private ratings primarily to debt instruments across a wide range of corporate sectors as well as infrastructure and project finance encompasses a variety of domestic projects and infrastructure assets in the toll roads, energy, water and port sectors. MARC also rates financial institutions, state governments and structured finance transactions, and regularly publishes considerable independent research on the domestic bond markets, industry trends and economic issues of general interest to the investing public.

Senior Rating Analyst/Rating Analyst

You will become part of the rating team – conduct research, interact with clients, analyse creditworthiness of companies, write research reports on sectors and build rapport with clients through the rating process. You will have the opportunity to build analytical expertise on sectors, financial structures and forming opinions to conclude on rating directions.

Requirements:
  • Degree holder in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Law, Mathematics, Engineering, or Actuarial Science.
  • Candidates with CFA or Masters Degree have an added advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in finance industry and supervisory qualities preferred for analyst position.
  • Possess strong analytical abilities with excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work with minimum supervision and to meet tight deadline.


Learning Manager

You will be responsible for planning and implementing MARC Learning’s business strategy, as well as marketing and promoting MARC Learning’s training programmes to stakeholders. This will involve:

  • Establishing MARC Learning’s annual business plan;
  • Coordinating MARC Learning’s training calendar before the start of each calendar year - sourcing for suitable trainers and course content, fees and available dates for training;
  • Liaising with professional bodies for the registration of courses and trainers;
  • Managing the overall budget for MARC Learning;
  • Attending to enquiries related to MARC Learning and maintaining good rapport with the relevant stakeholders; and
  • Maintaining MARC Learning’s existing business and seeking new/potential clients to generate training sales.

Requirements:
  • Degree holder in Marketing/Business/Multimedia/Mass Communications/Public Relations or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience in the related field.
  • Business-sales oriented and familiar with digital and/or social media marketing.
  • Strong writing, creative, communications and presentation skills.
  • Proactive & able to multi-task effectively.


Strategic Communications Manager

You will be responsible for the delivery of editorial functions for MARC publications, announcements, events and other strategic communications operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and execute editorial deliverables according to schedule
  • Strategic planning with sales team and branded campaigns with prospective clients
  • Editing and proofreading of all materials for strategic communication operations
  • Monitor and analyse growth of readership and engagement

Requirements:
  • Degree holder in English, Journalism, Media, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in content creation or editing, including online publishing
  • Editorial:
    • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Possess strong editorial background and proofreading skills, experienced in adhering to editorial and technical style guides with good research skills
    • A flair for writing with an understanding of copyediting suitable for social media and the internet in general - writing style is fresh, consistent and customer-friendly
  • Social media/SEO:
    • In-depth knowledge of SEO and social media best practices
    • Passion in understanding readers' insights and behaviours - especially from the financial sector
    • Prior experience in advertising, media or creative agency is an added advantage
  • Soft skills:
    • A team player with great people skills and networking ability
    • Comfortable with frequent cross-functional and senior management contacts, and able to exert indirect authority to deliver results
    • Positive attitude, result-driven and flexible personality


MAP Associate

The MARC Associate Enrichment Programme (MAP) is the platform of 6-month programme for you to accelerate your professional growth. Gain insights into the credit rating industry and broaden your skills set and start building your career. This programme allows the Associate to be absorbed as our Rating Analyst at the end of the programme.

Requirements:
  • Fresh graduate (not more than 3 years from the graduation date)
  • Degree holder in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Law, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Management, Banking & Finance, Actuarial Science, Marketing Research or Law and Masters Degree have an added advantage.
