We are a fast-paced, growing start-up and are looking for a Business Analyst who will be part of a dynamic team. The candidate will play a key role in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives. This role requires the candidate to develop a deep understanding of MARC Data’s business across multiple areas including product, operations and financials. The candidate will assist the CEO and be involved in various corporate level initiatives including in planning and executing growth initiatives and special projects. The successful applicant will be someone who is excited about the challenge of building something new and has a proven track record of success in similar roles.

Credit risk modelling and validation experience
Credit portfolio reporting experience (desirable)
Skills in MS Office applications, in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to perform well to achieve task objectives under pressure of tight timelines.
Possess excellent listening, rationalization and problem-solving skills.
Experience in data analytics programming tools, i.e. SAS, R and Python Scripting, Spark Scripting, Hive Knowledge.
Experience in database tools, i.e. SQL, Hadoop or any RDMS
Experience in BI Reporting tools, i.e. Pentaho, Tableau, Cognos
Be resourceful in researching for new data source to expand the existing data analytics products
Worked with different datasets
Able to plan, organize and complete own workload to meet project commitments within agreed schedules
Ensure quality and accuracy of all deliverables
Drive high standards of customer service and proactive client communication

Drive the key data initiatives that contributes to the overall data analytics product roadmap and strategy for the business
Qualitative and quantitative analysis on the use of different industry dataset for the business use case development and solutions.
To undertake periodic benchmarking exercise to ensure data quality on analytical data platform is within expectation
Create or amend existing web crawling program using Python to obtain new data source.
Perform necessary quality control checking prior delivering data to clients.
Liasing with client and to ensure issues raised by the clients are resolved in a timely and efficient manner
To handle enquiries from external/internal enquirers about credit ratings and scores
Model Development using Data Analytics tools and Interpretation
Carry out scorecard development, scorecard validation, scorecard monitoring and other statistical analysis
Interpret analytical results and summarise key points
Any other task assigned by management
Undergraduate/postgraduate degree in finance, statistics, econometrics, data analytics, data science, mathematics or related fields
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a data analysis (preferably in credit data) /risk analysis /scorecard/model developing environments.
